Non-Cached mode users get a different error message, but it turned out to be basically the same error.Įdit2: I just disabled IPv6 on the 2008 DNS server via registry. And this is happening to both Cached Mode and Non-Cached mode users. I'm designing a Enterprise 2010 solution, but I need this 2003 Standard server to last until then.Įdit: When a user launches outlook, and leaves it open, they do not recieve a "disconnect" notification.
OUTLOOK SPLASH SCREEN HANGS LOADING PROFILE FREE
The database has been repaired twice to free up space, but it corrupts itself shortly afterward. The database is corrupted but has been working without issue. This is only happening to a handful of users, but it seems to be getting worse. Any Exchange Admins have any ideas where else I can look? or at least why the Server is timing out when a client first loads Outlook. I do not know where else I can look to find out why Exchange is hanging.

I have set up real time monitoring on the Storage Group, no errors. I have checked end user Application and System logs and cannot find errors. I have checked Exchange, Application, System, and Security logs and cannot find any errors or notifications. I have checked with WireShark and I cannot find any odd traffic. I have verified that this isn't a WAN issue as it is happening to a few users in the same location as the Exchange Server. Exchange 2010 users report this is happening on the "Loading profile" splash screen. The user clicks "Retry" and everything is gravy. A few users have been complaining that they're recieving errors when they lauch Outlook "The Exchange Server is unavailable".
